In Delaware, we are allowed to erect portable deer stands after August 15 (until February)

I imagine this model would be on the edge of an open area. Any advantages/ disadvantages over a traditional deer stand ?

Ratcheted to a stable tree or two I might consider it. Set up in the center of tall brush maybe in gun ya. In cross bow ya. Pretty low to ground and not able to stand up from the pic. I'd go with a regular stand or a good brushed in blind on an edge.

Agree, I'd want it tucked back into some cover if I used it. I like my stands to have good cover right behind my sitting position to hopefully wash out my form.
That does not look convenient for an archery hunter. Small awkward foot platform. Rifle rest would have to move out of the way for a vertical bow to be shot.
