Just to clear up Justin's question in S10E35 about the number of tags we get in Texas - 5 whitetail tags (2 antlerless only, 3 buck or antlerless), 2 mule deer (1 antlerless, 1 buck or antlerless), and 4 turkeys (one can be Eastern).

Mule deer are only out west.

Regarding whitetails, many counties have antler restrictions (AR) where you can only shoot 2 bucks, one of which has to have an inside spread of 13" or more and 1 with at least one unbranched (spike) antler. You could shoot more than one 13"+ bucks even if you live in an AR county, but you'd have to shoot them in a second or third county.

Sounds like a lot of rules. I'm surprised you even need to buy tags in Texas. :moose:
