Well tonight is the night im going in my honey hole i got a good west/southwest wind this is going to be the first time im even going in there sence july. I plan on hunting from about 2 till dark. With a little luck ill be back late tonight with a stoy for ya. Good luck and be safe.
Nope worse! didnt see chit!!! in my best spot!!!!! not even 1 deer! Im heart broken iv never NEVER!!!! sat there and not sEen anything. IT was really windy. Then i had plans to go to my buddys and hunt with him but is rainin! BOOOOOOOOO!
No rain my way for the rest of the weekend. It rained all day yesterday and a tad over the night into the morning. Temps are supposed to be in the mid 50's all weekend. Deer should be moving! Its gonna be my first time out this season and I am super pumped!
Allright boys i got a question for you I snuck out and got a hunt in tonight. So hears the question i had a doe at 25 yards dead to rights lined up the shot pulled the triger bam!!!! Two things went wrong 1st my lighted nock didnt go off damn magnet fell off! 2nd the arrow hit a small branch and went ape chit and mia! So dose this count as a miss or dose this go down in the books as a deflection? P.S bambi walked away unharmed so were good there.
I'd say deflection...Going to be cheering my sister on at the TC marathon in the morning , but will definately be in a tree stand tomorrow afternoon...Good luck to all...
It's all good!! Atleast people are actually seeing deer...I haven't seen, heard or smelled a deer since youth weekend . Not very happy!!! I have even been sitting longer in the stand. This morning was nice n chilly. Sat from 6:30-8:30. No deer. Tonight I sat from 3:30 to 7:30...no deer. Have trail cam pics of deer and set up over a standing corn field, other stand over alfalfa field. This is also a diff. woods than I sat during the youth season. I have had good luck in the mornings at the other woods but have only sat it in the evening once. Just gettin a lil down...
Was out tonight, say 6 but they never got close enough, plan to me a stand tomorrow and hope to be out tomorrow night...
Skillfull- I want to plan a trip out there for sure. I just dont really know when I will get out there. Im thinking maybe the last weekend of Oct. or after the first gun season. Il let you know. As for this past weekend, It was pretty slow. I spent 9 hours on stand and didnt see a single deer. I recently had a camera stolen and so while scouting today in that area, I found a new ground blind and camera (not mine) about 60 yards away from where my camera was stolen but on the neighboring property. I wrote a note to the guy and left it in his blind telling him to contact me. I just found it a bit shady that my camera disappears and then theres a new hunter there. On a better note, I went to scout another spot and saw 7 does and a small buck. This area is untouched so hopefully il be able to get one outta there!
Hey guys. Sounds like everyone is in full swing. Sad to say that I had two shots on my first night out at two does and missed at 45 yards. Shot low. I've been out once since and haven't seen anything. Going to hit it up again at the end of the week. Some say we're entering the "Lull", let's prove them wrong!!!! Be safe.

Got the best call i guy could get on a weekday at 4:00am stay home with pay!!!!!!! So a hunting i did go. Say the first buck of the season a basket 8 that was realy cool because all his points were bladed! nothing else but ill be headed right back out after lunch so wish me luck!
