Hey Jeff, where about in Massachusetts do you live? Probably sent from a tree with my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Hey Bob I live right between New Bedford and the Cape. I hunt Zone 11 but have been messing with the idea of heading to the Berkshires to chase an archery bear in September. I mostly hunt public. As far as FOC I would like to mess with it some by adding weight up front. I put white wraps on my 5mm FMJ's and since I added weight to the back, I would like to add some up front but I'm not sure if it is possible to remove the standard HIT inserts and replace them with 50gr brass inserts but I planned on asking next time I go into the archery shop Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Hi Jeff, I’m in North Attleborough. I also hunt zone 11. Private property. I have to get at least two doe or I won’t be invited back next year. I put 100 grain inserts in my gold tip arrows with 125 grain Black Hornet Ser Razor broad head and that gives me a 12 1/4 percent FOC. Still messing with it though. I ordered some 50 grain weights from gold tip that screw into the back of the insert thru the nock end with a long Allen wrench. Probably sent from a tree with my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have heard great things about the Ser Razors! Sounds like you hava a pass through machine! This year I am trying the 100gr Iron Will on FMJ's and I really cant wait to get on some deer. 2 does would be amazing, I literally saw one deer all last season but I got 2 the year before so hopefully I'm due for another good year. Will probably go check cams in another week or 2 to see whats around Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
There’s a lot of deer in my spot, one picture had seven deer in it. I’m so excited we still have what 5 weeks to wait. Probably sent from a tree with my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’ll be doing my first card pull on the 23rd and putting up stands. Season starts sept 29th Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck with him, that is for sure a giant! I have one deer in particular I have been trying to kill for the last 2 seasons but I really only get a few photos of him a year. This is a very suburban area so I cant imagine he went far. Just need to stay mobile and put time in the tree! Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Thanks I can’t wait to see if he’s on first card pull. I put cameras up late this year to avoid spooking him and causing to break anything off. Last year he broke 2 of his non typical points off. I know he made it threw gun season but he’s a lil harder to pattern and a loaner. Never seen him with bachelor groups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Who said coyotes don’t kill deer. Probably sent from a tree with my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
