you might try scorpion venom or other arrow release liquid.

It's probably friction welding them into place. Don't know what to do about it other than setting a $250 block target in front of it, lol.

I agree with Covey, they are melting the foam from the friction and pretty much welding them self into the foam. The foam you want is the stuff they make foam flooring squares that you hook together like puzzle pieces. Like the ones you see in a kids playroom.

Thanks guys. Kinda what i thought and i didn think about this till later i may buy a glendale insert $60 and jus cut out and if you miss the glendale then you miss the deer and help train ya to hit the vitals. I once seen a video wer they had metal targets and jus a hole cut for vitals so u mis the hole u kill an arrow. Helps to teach you to be accurate!

Try a small amount of WD40 or dawn dish soap on the tip of the arrow if it is a problem of the arrow "welding" into place

It will help you to always try to make your shot very accurate and not take risky shots. I wish i was more accurate at farther distances

We have shoots around here that always have those "iron" bucks. Only thing that's foam is a 4" circle for vitals. See alot of arrows ruined but it gets pretty entertaining seeing the arrows explode on the steel.

As far as target, pretty nice set up. Kinda wonder what putting a peice or carpet or something between the foam and maybe it wouldn't stick as bad. Guess you'd still have the melting effect but might break it up instead of bonding all three together.

Arrow lube works - apply often. Used Armor All before that.

Or you can just hang a Morrell Super Duper in from of it. For $60-70 I get 3+ years out of it. Arrows pull out with 2 fingers. Last spring I found some for $32....I bought 3.

I have to say... that's one of the dumbest thing I've ever heard...

The reason he can't get his arrows out is the texture of foam. The arrow wouldn't make enough heat to melt the foam upon entry. There is a reason why bow target manufacturers don't use this foam when making targets.

It definitely does with certain types of foam! I learned this 20 years ago. I pulled a big chuck of foam out of the river. It was used for floating docks, same stuff the op is using. You shoot it with a carbon arrow and it melts to the shaft. If you us a aluminum arrow, it's fine. If you don't believe me try it for your self!

Or just google "why do arrows stick in foam".
Might drop the tude dude, you don't know what you're talking about. It's been discussed on forums for years.

Discussed is one thing. Confirmed is another... but then again... If it's on the internet it must be true.

Almost all broadhead targets are made with foam, just not with the foam the op is using.
