Hello everyone, I'm looking for thoughts on where good places to hang stands would be on this property I hunt. For reference, green is all soybeans this year, black are apple trees, red are CRP grass fields, blue is the creek bottom, yellow is just tall grass open areas, white is stand locations last year. Let me know what you think! Any advice is appreciated thanks, and I did shoot a nice buck last year but it wasn't out of either of those stands. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Those two fingers between CRP fields look interesting. Look to be part of a converging hub. Sent from my XT1254 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Just some thoughts on stand sights.....no expert by any means. Yellow lines possible deer travel, red stars possible stands.
AJ seems from the picture you know where to place a stand, very nice buck. Did you shoot that buck on that property? If so where was the stand you shot him out of?
I got it on that property yes, and it was halfway up the ridge. Rattled him in Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'd put stands at any one of the three field points protruding out of the bean fields, between the bean fields and the water. As for specific location obviously you would have to watch the bucks favorite travel corridors using trail cams.
I would have a stand at the Apple trees. Good staging area on the way to the food and back to bed. Probably some scrapes around them too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
