As some of you know my dad and I picked up a new piece of property this year in NJ. We picked this piece of property up by going on the tax map and finding names and addresses, then sending handwritten letters to the landowner asking permission. This piece is just amazing, seeing as we were leasing a very small piece of property right across the road for $800 last year, this property owner gave us permission for free!! Last year we saw some amazing bucks, bigger than anything we have hunted before. The property is a mix of swamp, a small part of hardwoods, and fields. My dad and I went out about a month ago and hung two cameras, we went back today and pulled the cards, there were some big bodied bucks on camera (all shed) so we are excited to see the antler growth this summer. I am amazed at the amount of worn down trails we found on this property! Also came across a bear skull in the swamp and found what appears to be a bear den, there was a large bear on camera as well. Hope everyone's off-season is going well. Come on September!
