https://www.legis.state.pa.us/CFDOC...d=0&billBody=H&billTyp=B&billNbr=0768&pn=0818 Hey heads up. House Bill 768 was recently brought up in the pa house of reps calling for a gun registry. $10/gun. Registration required annually. Background check and fingerprinting annually. Write them a f***ing letter !!
while by no means the more egregious part of this proposal, What could possibly be the point of annual fingerprinting? Literally serves zero purpose.
That stinks. Punish the honest citizen and let the criminals ignore any and all laws pertaining to firearms or anything else that can be or has been used as a weapon. Has anyone counted up the laws that were broken when a shooting in a school occurred? SCOTUS decision of July, 1968 declared that a person guilty of a felony isn't required to register a firearm as it violates their constitutional right against self-incrimination. Edit- Be careful as such laws might hold the honest citizen responsible of someone steals your firearms and use them in a crime.
Hell will freeze over before that will ever get passed into law! Had to read it twice and print it out to read it again. Pa has to much of a hunting heritage to have such a nonsense of a law. From What I'm hearing that bill is DOA when it comes up for a vote. Guess those senators that are pushing for it don't want to stay in office much longer!
added inconvenience, added money and time spent. hoping to make it too much of a pain to keep firearms?
