1 of my off Days today and had planned on doing a evening sit tonight but the temps are 69 and pouring down raining, and outlook is the rest of the evening as well.

So, I’m using the time to do some practice (in my Daughters room while she’s in school lol) on something else I really enjoy doing and that’s Golf... so I’m wondering other then Hunting what other hobbies gets your blood flowing and heart pounding

I've never shared this with anyone on the forums, (I take enough heckling as it is!!) but what the heck!

My other life long passion is trains, and model railroading.

I attend weekly operating sessions at some friends houses, where we operate the model railroad as if it's a real railroad, with signals, dispatchers and everything else. (move freight from point A to B just like the real thing) These layouts are basement size, and have been featured in a model railroading magazines. I'm not talking about a circle of track on a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood.

I model The Alaska Railroad. Here are some pics of the current stuff I'm working on.

All the trees, I handmade. I made all the rocks out of plaster Paris and carved them, then painted.

With the family I pretty much only have time for 1 hobby at a time. Softball is pretty much mine now in the spring/summer between my playing and coaching/help coaching my daughters rec and travel teams I pretty much had 5 nights a week tied up with Softball, and 7 full weekends with tournaments. Now trying to get out into the woods on the weekend if mother nature ever cooperates.

Kids sports is also a hobby that takes time away from ours (not saying that the way it sounds cause it is well worth it imho) my Son plays travel baseball and is actually playing Fall ball right now and my Daughter plays softball as well... she’s trying out for the JV team next year.... let me tell you though. I’ve seen a lot of unruly and out of hand parents over the years at my children’s sporting events. And honestly mostly from the Moms

That is some AWESOME work right there!!!!! Beautifully done. I love model railroads, and that's some of the best work I've seen. You are quite talented!!

My other hobby, which is really a passion, is wild trout fishing remote streams in Pa.

If you didn't live so far from me, I'd ask if it was OK to come up and see your layout.
