I've never seen a buck this big anywhere near where I've hunted ever in my life and he just showed up on my camera! And the best news is he came back the next night, last night, with just enough shooting light. I literally had a small panic attack when I saw the video. My hands were shaking mildly and I couldn't think straight for a few seconds. Then I knew what to do. Got my bow and started shooting in the backyard. If I get a shot at him, I wanna be ready. My season opens again this Saturday and I might just live in my blind for the next 5 weeks!!!! I have video too but it's too big to upload. If you've got any hunting prayers, send them my way!!!!
Don't be tempted to keep checking that cam. You could run hjim off. I know it's hard but stay out as much as you can. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Wow, what a beast! Calm those nerves before you take a shot. Just remember, one of the easiest and best things for panic attacks, or seeing a booner, is taking long, slow and deep breaths...
I'm not worried about checking the cam. The property is only 50 acres and only about 20 is what the animals use. Deer aren't on it during the day, except for a doe here an there, because it's an active mandarin orchard. Care taker and property owner is out there almost every day on a gator tractor thing driving around and changing the watering pattern. Deer are used to the activity during the day but show up usually late evening and during the night. But I appreciate the advice. If it were a wooded forest area the deer were on during the day and around all the time, I wouldn't check it as often for sure.
That might work. I've got pics and/or video of about 5 nice bucks on the property. Although if I get another pic of him his week, I think I stand a good chance at killing him so I might wait for that. I still haven't finished my spring turkey video yet! haha!
Thanks everyone! I have dubed thee "Goliath"! I've been at work for 4 hours now and have accomplished nothing! Still can't completely think straight!
After using OMFG in the title of this thread, I doubt prayers for you to get that buck are going to be very effective. I think God might frown on that......On another note, that buck has bifurcated antlers similar to a mule deer. Cool rack! Be careful buck fever doesn't set in when he walks under your treestand.
