I live about 300 yards from the Clay County TN line (I'm in Overton County TN), I assume you are in Monroe co. KY?

I've hunted the Barren River Lake WMA near Glasscow KY. And used to hunt private land on the Clinton Co/Wayne Co. line (Kentucky).

Greenbrier, Robertson County. I have 42 private acres to myself. Not my land. Its still standing corn, hopefully its comes down soon.

Heres my two bucks from this season. The third is picture that was sent to me, not my trail cam, hes pretty far from me.

Yep, there are some crazy prices out there. You would think though as tough as times are, that there must still be some folks out there that would lease a small acreage for reasonable prices... If you knock on a few doors, some folks might do it for just enough to cover their land taxes/expenses.

Doesn't hurt to try, especially if a hunter is fairly resourceful. :)

Shot this guy on my folk's old homestead/farm. The cattle have been sold, so the pastures have grown up with vegetation and that brought the deer to the property. This guy has been destroying my folk's garden for a few years now, so I nicknamed him "The Sweet Potato buck".

I shot him just after he got through racking and rubbing some small trees, he was on a hormone high and acting like a boss. lol

I hit him quartering away, though the back of the lungs and out the heart (the heart had a perfect little broadhead X right through it), I love bow hunting during the Muzzleloader and rifle seasons (makes a bowkill seem more special)

His rack is sub-par for his body size, but he was very big-bodied and fat. Gonna get some summer sausage from this one.

Nice job! I killed a 4.5 year old Doe this morning Field dressed at a 110 lbs. Shot her at 7:20am. It's my 5th deer this season...having a pretty good bow season so far. Shot her at 20 yards...complete pass through. She might have ran 20 yards before she fell over. Took both lungs and top of the heart. That Swhacker 100gr. 2" cut left a blood trail a blind man could follow...lol. I've love letting my Swhackers eat! Nice job on the buck...congrats.

(No telling how many times I've told him to be quiet while bow hunting ) by the way we done changed so no hunter orange by the way this was a gun harvest but still got three tags left for my bow (southern ky)[IMG]
