I hunt in Jackson, Overton, Clay and Pickett Counties. Mostly private land but about a 25% mix of public land also. I have killed 3 does for the freezer so far, and could have tagged out in unit A archery on a small public land buck but decided to keep a free tag just in case and to keep hunting (till the other weapon/season open and I get more allowed deer..... BTW, You guys in unit L have it made on the deer harvest allowances . lol ). I just bowhunt, even during the rifle season, so my hunting will get considerably more difficult when the "Big Guns" start firing in the TN woods. I wish the state would go back to the late season, either sex, landowner/type 94 hunts (in my counties at least, lol). It was a great time to harvest a late season doe to finish out the year of bowhunting (hunting actually got a little easier with those hungry does looking for greenfields and standing crops after the rut).
I have off tomorrow at work (Monday) and I am going to try it in the morning for something with horns, a friend has a Jackson Co. lease and we are going to hit it hard. Those does should "start smelling right" to the bucks pretty soon. Keep'em Sharp and Good hunting.....

Naw, that would be a long drive for me. If I am not mistaken though, my co-worker has hunted turkey there assisting the wounded warriors. It was in Milan, just not sure if that is the same property, the place he always goes it is ran by the military .
I've gonna hunt on my land again this weekend. Seen a decent 7 point this past Monday. Couldn't get a shot at him though...it was fun watching him rub trees though.
