Kyle, you shafted your score by 31pts. I'm assuming your bird weighed 17, with 1.25" spurs, and a 8.5" beard? with NWTF scoring that is a 59pt bird! 17+(1.25*10)+(1.25*10)+(8.5*2)=59!! go edit the score card!

Heckler you need to enter your bird on the card as well!

Many more birds will fall before I enter a score. That is why I marked it as score pending..... I want to make sure I enter the best bird!

damn that must be nice! our birds are looking few and far between this year, I still think I'll be able to get on one, but for what ever reason its not looking like i'll be able to pass up a young Tom if that opportunity presents itself.

Taught a gun safety class this afternoon then shot my bow. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out hunting a couple times this week.

Well I woke up at 4 AM, put my clothes on and grabbed my gear. I opened the door and was hit in the face with a hurricane blast of wind. I shut the door, got undressed and went back to bed. The wind wasn't supposed to blow like that until noon. I checked the weather before I went to bed at 11 PM. I still don't understand why the weather guys can't get a 8 hour forecast right with modern technology. If I was wrong at my job 50% of the time I would be fired! I will go tomorrow morning pending the forecast is right.... Jeeeze :throw:

We almost slept in after seeing the wind, too. Decided to see what happened, and shot one at 30 yards.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, though :tu:

I'm spoiled. I do have the luxury of choosing days I want to play. It makes it much easier to make every trip a success. I'm trying to get a good kill on video. 20+ mph wind isn't ideal for the audio...

I'll be crossing some items off my to do list today / tonight so I can hunt tomorrow.

Well I gotta tell ya guys, our season here in Vermont doesnt start untill the 1st, and I'm not ready for it. I havent talked to a single hunter that has birds patterned or has any confidence in the population this year. I have seen 3 good Tom and probably a dozen Hens this spring combined, Last year I was seeing that nearly every day... We really are baffled as to what is going on with the birds around here this year. Just hoping I can get lucky and get on a decent bird next tuesday, they are going to vanish once they start getting a little shotgun pressure!

Glad to see you're back in Business Heckler! any word on the stolen goods?
