Im in the market for a new string for my mathews z7. Instead of the typical zebra string im looking in to a custom red and black string for the bow. Any suggestions on a good custom string maker would be awesome since i really havent heard of any. Thanks

I just tuned my bow with new ones from the Archeryshack. Look them up. Superb customer service and even better quality. [IMG]

I have been shooting 60X strings for a bit now after using several other well known brands over the years. I'm absolutely pleased with them. I've installed three sets now for myself and friends. You know you have a good set when right out of the packaging, but specs of the bow are spot on and it reaches peak poundage without having to twist anything up. So far we've seen no serving separation, peep rotation or timing issues with any of the bows that have them on. I just bought a new Prime Rize and am ordering a set within the week for it. Not to mention the guys at 60X are very helpful and response times, if you have any questions, is very fast. Give them a try and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I use Bow String Depot and have for about 3 years now. Great folks and make really nice strings.

But really you will get a lot responses for good string builders. Everybody will tell you their favorite, like I did :) .

Yeah i figured as much Coop. But thats fine it gives me options. Ive always used just the zebra brand strings but i want more and better now. Plus i can get what colors i like by going custom.

I just ordered my first set of custom strings. I ordered them from 60x. I had a few questions and called them while I was on line ordering. They were very helpful.

Another vote for Bow String Depot, Hutch and his team build great threads and they are top notch in quality and he backs what he sells! I have BSD Threads on my Heli-m and and just outfitted my No Cam with them as well. :tu:

Try John's Custom Archery on Facebook. Not only will he make the strings for you but he will tune the bow too. Every bow I buy goes there. Great guy and great product.

One stupid question. When buying a custom string do they automatically install the speed nocks on the strings or is that something you pay more for and have to specify?

So if you are installing speed nocks yourself is it safe to say all you should have to do is measure out from the old string the location and then measure the new string out and install them in the same location? Or just go without them.
