Well I took one of our granddaughters who is 6 yrs old down to our local indoor range, and Sophia wanted to have a target like her Popi does. So I put one up on the bale target that she was going to use at 5 yards, and wouldn't you know it. She was so excited as some other archers practicing cheered her first heart shot. Our daughter said, that after Sophia got home she tried to make a bow out of her bat and a string. She is getting a bow soon, and will have lots of fun everyday after school now.
Awesome! I wish my family took me on shooting when I was younger! I will for sure take my son when I will have one :D
My daughter told me that a friend of theirs has a Missions Craze for her to use, I told her we will have to have the draw length adjusted and then see on the lowest pound setting of 13# if Sophia can draw the bow. I know she could draw a Diamond Edge SB-1 if she could hold the bow up. I think she is going to need something a bit lighter still, to have fun with. I also have another granddaughter who is 8 yrs old that wants to, jump into the game as well. I see lots of time well spent this summer with our grandkids, shooting arrows :D
That's just plain SUPER....you're making memories...for you, and for the kids -- and memories count the most!
So cool! Looks like you'll have to get that draw length fixed for her Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sophia was given a Diamond Nuclear Ice in pink digital camo, that another little girl wanted to donate to another little girl. Sophia is totally stoked now, she couldn't believe that today she got to take her very own bow home from Flaming Arrow Archery in Kalispell, MT. that is great! I love when the little ones first start. I started both of my daughters around 4 or 5.
So awesome! My son is 5 and I can't wait till I get him a bow. Maybe it's not as far off as I thought it would be!
