In Indiana and Kentucky, it's 30 minutes before sunrise, to 30 minutes after sunset..At about 5 minutes left of legal shooting light, I can see my pin, I can see the deer..but seeing the pin and the deer in one picture is hard..I took a legal low light shot on a doe years ago and I hit much farther left than I intended..I have since heard of the sub-dominate eye taking over which may or may not explain this..BUT..this occurance, correct or not, keeps me legaly safe and I dont want to gut hook an animal. So, for me I have a built in safe guard....No Shot...outside of legal hours.
