Is it better to get a used, older model, high end bow? Or to get a brand new mid to entry level bow? I'm hearing how compound bow technology is improving so rapidly that I was wondering if a brand new mid to low range bow would be comparable to say 2012-2015 higher end bows. Or are the higher end bows from a few years ago still that much better? Thoughts and opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Used higher end bow but not there fastest. Get their most forgiving bow.

Cool thanks! That's what I was leaning toward.

Technology has advanced a lot in the last 20 years but not so much in the last 5. Buying a good used, top of the line bow is a great option. While I do have a couple newer bows, I hunted with a 2011 model last fall.

You can get bows that are a year old for half of what they were new. I would buy a flagship bow that is 1 to 2 years old

I'm fairly new as well and after talking to a few people, I ended up with a Diamond Archery Infinite Edge. Only $350 on Cabelas. We'll see how it works out.[h=1][/h]

Anything from the last handful of years is going to do you just fine. Shoot as many options as you can and buy what feels most comfortable to you in your price range.
