Hey so i recently switched from 100 grain head to 125 grain heads but havent had time to readjust my sight on my HHA so ive just been focusing on groups but ive noticed my 100grain heads and my 125 grain heads are shooting in the exact same spot. is this a little odd ? ive tested this out to 40 yards so far and they group right on top of each other is this odd ?

At 40 yards (depending on fast your slinging arrows) you shouldn't see very much of a difference with a 25 grain increase. I switched from 100 grain to 125s as well. My shot group dropped less than inch at 40 yards before adjusting my sights.

25gr isn't much of a difference out to 40yrds. I tend to switch heads from time to time & the only time I worry about sight issues is if I'm shooting past 50yrds.

Wonder if the higher FOC is even helping.

How much weight are you drawing?

pretty normal. I didn't see much change in aiming, but I definitely saw a difference in how deep the arrows stuck in the target.

That's kind of odd for them to be that close at 40yds.

I've added 20 grains several times to target arrows and I would see a 2-3" difference at 40yds if memory serves me correct. I also had to change sight tapes.

It's all relative to your average group size as well. I would expect at least a couple inches difference in that 40-50yds.

Use a few arrows of each weight and shoot some at your maximum effective distance in which you are consistent. Record your impact changes as well as group sizes and this will also tell you which combo groups better.

I'm betting once you start pushing the distance you'll notice more of a change and you'll need a new tape

So not to be rude but what does your previous comment mean ? I mean I know 70lbs is plenty to kill a deer ?

I'm slinging them a little under 270fps with my set up at 27inches and 72lbs exactly on 70lb limbs
