That is crazy... If it was me that deer would have had an arrow in him, either by my bow, or by using it like a spear! Weird encounter.
Probably a mix of being a hand fed deer and something like evercalm or something similar. I don't believe a completely wild deer would ever do something like that. I sure wouldn't have let him keep getting bolder about it. Bad intentions or not, they're a big animal and could do some serious damage.
Yea he looked a little too comfortable around humans. My co-worker who doesnt hunt showed me the video. I said hes lucky the deer didnt take it a step further. He goes "oh no look how small the deer looks you could easily wrestle it to the ground if you had to". Some people I swear....
It says in the story that he used no scents. I think it's just a young, rutted up buck that wanted to spar with something/anything. The guy is lucky and I probably would have shot his ass!
Don't believe everything you read...that buck wasn't focusing on the guys boot because he likes walmart rubber.
I thought it was a guy hunting in a penned area. he probably had preorbital overspray residue all over on his boots after prepping a scrape in previous days. or like an idiot he dumped it on himself. or maybe he has handfed this deer and the deer is harassing him for more feed. anyways he should have left instead of playing with him like that. but truthfully shane probably spilled a few caffine pills and the deer got them like everyone else said.
