    Took my boys out for our annual Independence Day fishing trip. I let my boys pick a new spot they found in a nearby state park. The boys caught several bream and I caught my first largemouth of the year. Not a giant by any means but it was the first time I successfully sight-fished a bass in a river from the bank. There were a few other bigger ones that I couldn’t get to bite. First time catching a bass with the youngest there. Happy Independence Day and thank you all those who keep us free!
