I am in need of a good archery shop or at least an individual with a bow press and the slightest knowledge on tuning a bow. The only decent bow shop within 35 miles of where I live will not touch the top hats in a Mathews bow for the life of them. I have asked many times on many different occasions and have gotten excuse after excuse of why they will not adjust the top hats. After having my VXR for a few months, the string has finally completely settled and I have been getting bad groups recently. So I tried to paper tune it, and the bow wants to have the rest in a position where the arrow is pointing so much towards the riser that the fletchings contact the riser before it even makes a bullet hole in paper. Sadly, I do not have a bow press and cannot do the work by myself.
Barefoot. There is another guy near Locust, but I've never had any first hand exp with him, just past his shop a few times.
