Missed last season due to injury resulting from a mountain bike crash.....moral of that story, I do not bounce back like I once did. About a month ago I was finally able to begin lifting some light weights again, and about 2 weeks ago I got out my bow. Decided it needed a component upgrade, so ordered new sight, new rest, new stabilizer, new cat whiskers, new quiver, new arrows and new cable/string. Still need a new peep, but if everything arrives soon, I'll have a weekend project and the forecast shows mild temps next week!!!!
I plan to do some scouting this weekend that I'm excited for. My first time to ever scout this time of year... I've always heard that this is the best time of year for it, but I've always been too lazy.
Im with ya there, hoping to get out and get some scouting done. Shawn Jennings ProGold Easton FMJ 339 grains NAP Spitfire DoubleCross 100 grains 2017 Team 3 Shed Hunting 2017 Team 6 Turkey Hunting 2017 Team 5 Deer Hunting
Interesting you mention this early scouting.....I took my kids for a hike around some public land and realized all the previous season's deer sign was really easy to notice this time of year. I'd never really thought about it, but some internet research revealed it's a pretty good idea. My scouting starts this weekend!
Glad you're able to get out again! I'm hoping to start a little bit of post-season scouting this weekend myself.
Glad youre back at it. Ive already scouted once early this month. It takes a lot of work to find mature bucks on public land. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
It sounds like a busy offseason! I'm really holding off on scouting on the mountain just yet because I haven't put in for tags, which means the results aren't out. But that hasn't stopped me from looking at the onX maps, Google Earth and watching nothing but bowhunting videos on YouTube. We're all going to the local Outdoor Expo this morning, and depending on homework, I might shoot inside a little this weekend.
