Been recovering from 3 surgeries on my right arm 5 weeks ago. Started tryna shoot a couple of arrows a week or so back. Didn't even know if I would be able to draw the bow back. Used the bow exerciser for about a week before trying. Went up to the range today to see what would happen shooting a few arrows. I have a cabelas 3d turkey target and turkey season is next so I thought I'd make it a challenge for myself. These are my first 4 arrows at 60yds. Pretty happy. IMG_1386.JPG

Best of luck in your recovery. Take it slow, don't do anything to screw up what the Drs. fixed!! Good to see you shooting again.

Glad you're feeling good enough to shoot, you're fortunate. I just dislocated my right shoulder last Thurs, couldn't draw a bow if my life depended on it. I'm just glad it's the off season! God has blessed me with amazing healing abilities, so with some time I'll be good to go. :tu:

Thanks guys......Hey WillO heading down your way in about a month to try for some wild boar. Have hunted all over Fl. for 10yrs. or so for wild boar and have never got one. Iv'e used many different outfitters some great and some total rip-offs. Have shot some that I thought were perfect shots and never recovered them. Ive hunted Inglis, Sebring, Ocochobee, and Osteen to name a few. Always a good time in Fl. to shorten this dam New England winter. Gonna film it too. I filmed one hunt already for hogs. I got a little crazy in the editing room and looking back I coulda done a much better job. If you wanna check it out I'll post the link. feel free to skip through it. Theres even a rocket launch near the end. Here's the link.

Glad your recovery is going well, and you're getting fired up about the upcoming hunting season. My one piece of advise (as already noted) is ease into things gradually. In Sept I crashed a mountain bike and landed in the ER with 9 rib fractures, 2 collar bone fractures and some sort of shoulder joint injury......missed all of last season and just picked up my bow about 2 weeks ago. That long wait killed me, but furthering an existing injury would be way worse.

    Good luck with those hogs!

    Joe

Thanks joe. The neck disc fusion was WAY worse. I couldn’t even stand for about 15 days. Was outa work 6 months. I feel ok shooting but I’m not pushin it. Maybe 12 arrows a day. Doc said I couldn’t damage anything he repaired so if I wanna try to do something go ahead and do it. AND I AM.
