What does everyone use as a second angle camera to capture themselves up in the stand/drawing their bow back? Also, what is everyone’s process when a buck you know you’re going to shoot walks in? Turn on cameras first or grab your bow? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I've used GoPro's, DSLR's, and recently a Sony A5100 for second and third angles. It all depends on my setup that day. For me, cameras come on first generally. Every situation is different though.
This season I'll be using a Tactacam 2.0 for my secondary camera. I'll probably just add it to the bow and flip it around to face me.
My new deal this year will be saddle hunting with my second angle a GoPro attached to the tether. Its cool the camera follows you around the tree. I have been experimenting and practicing with the saddle and its going to add another cool method to the arsenal of deer hunting methods. What would you say about having your entire tree hunting system come in under 6lbs.
Camera on first for me. While it’s powering up im grabbing my Bow. After that I hit record. Most of us use go pros for the show as second angle cameras.
During prime hours I keep my cameras on. I’ve also used a lot of different things for second angle but the best IMO would be a new GoPro with remote capability that you can turn in with your phone or controller. The wide angle lens captures all the action from fairly close range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like the Go pro hero session that's what I use! Jump to 3:07 and that was the angle I used I used the flex leg tripod mount and wrapped it around my bow hanger! I like the session it is one button and go and it can also be started via your phone, I was able to find one on Amazon for either $100 or $150
