Would be nice to at least see the results of the shot in this video as well as seeing a playback in slo mo of how the arrows are actually flying.
My fixed 3 blade Muzzy does not fly like a field tip. But I shoot the broad heads year round so it does not really bother me.
My NAP spitfires have always shot closest to field tips without tunning. And they're great heads too.
My old model 130 grain 4 blade muzzies hit the same holes out to 30 yards for sure too bad they quit making those I only have a few left , now the only make the small lightweight heads that windplane to some degree, I and many others have told them to go back to the heavier 4 blades to no avail well will have to look around I guess
I shoot Muzzy 3 blade broadheads exclusively. These were my first 3 practice shots of this season @20yrds, I'm OK with the results.
Did you take those out of the box and just start shooting or did you shoot them like 1000 times before you filmed. No snark here, serious question. I've been shooting a 3 blade fixed Muzzy for a week and I MIGHT be able to hit a pie plate with 1 out of 6 at 30 yards. It's driving me nuts!
Yes they do. I shoot 16% or greater FOC and bare shaft tune. Interestingly, 16% FOC seems to be a tipping point (no pun here) where the point pulls the arrow. They just start behaving. 200 grains up front is the start.
I feel some expandable broadheads hit lower and I'm thinking it may be caused by the amount of drag on the folders blades? Anybody else notice this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
who still shoots aluminum arrows i also shoot the muzzy 3 blade now after trading in the Rage heads with great results
Im running Hypodermic 2+ and they are pretty close to my 100gr field points and their own practice heads.
I like my swhackers 125, I don't really care where my field points are hitting, what I care is where my broad heads are hitting. At some point prior to season I might stop shooting field points and go practice with broadheads or practice broadheads. Besides not that much difference. I just switched for this year to the Muzzy 3 blade after shooting rage heads. How do your muzzy fly compared to Field tips?
That could be an arrow issue try and nock tune and see if that works. If you have not already. Sent from my SM-N920P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
