I have no idea how we still have deer on this farm but every year we kill way more deer than you think would be possible.After opening weekend of gun season we are up to 24 deer for the 3 days of gun season.The total tally for bow/and youth is 36.Last year we killed 33 for the entire season and the previous was 34.Last year it seems it was mostly good bucks and as I suspected,this year is mostly young deer from the lack of mature does being shot last year.This year we have a couple nice mature bucks being taken but it could be much better if the landowner didn't want EVERYTHING shot.This is the typical brown and down camp,which I don't get into.I don't even gun hunt but I do take the kids. That is one heck of a camp! I don't see that many deer in a season... At least you know the folks you hunt with can shoot straight.
