Surprised there has been nothing on here about this up to now. Today the house passed HB2893 Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that any person may use a crossbow to take wildlife during the appropriate archery season. Repeals crossbow provisions limiting the use of crossbows to specified conditions, together with a related definition. Effective immediately. http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/Bil...DocNum=2893&GAID=14&SessionID=91&LegID=104353 It will be sent to the governor within 30 days and once signed becomes effective immediately.
Who cares about a state budget when you can shoot stuff with a crossbow! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T377A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
They even passed an "Illegal use of an elephant" law earlier in the year. No hope as long as Madigan is at the helm.
I love how their on the brink of being down graded to about a junk bond credit rating. Once taxes have to be raised to cover the increased interest rate to fund their debt, crossbows will be the least of everyone's concerns. IL is a train wreak. http://www.usdebtclock.org/state-debt-clocks/state-of-illinois-debt-clock.html
Still no budget but they officially changed 294 to the President Barack Obama Expressway. Yay, illinois.... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
Yea it's going to be awesome when I pay more per mo for my taxes than I do my mortgage. I'm trying to get my wife on board to move to Missouri. It's not working so far. She won't ween off her mama. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm heading east across the state line; and soon... I'll put up with the 60 minute commute for 1% max property tax Back Home Again in Indiana. May still pay IL income tax but at least my vote will mean something again. And I can buy guns and ammo without having to let Big Madigan know.
Seriously, as bad as Hellinois seems while you live there.... it looks so much worse once you leave. I can barely stand to go back to visit friends and family. I mean, you know it's bad when moving to Indiana seems like a huge step up. :D Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
It's so weird because I've lived here all my life. All my hunting spots and memories and family farm is here. I hate the regime but love the land. Guess I'm just a flatlander at heart......but not enough, I still want to move to Mo. Tired of getting raped Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Gary Indiana, hello! Somehow I'm always 'lucky' enough to end up with a winter business trip to Chi-inois.
Didn't think it'd take long after they changed it first time. Overall I say go for it, might even convince me to buy one just for something different every once in while. And like everyone else, the short 30 miles it'd take to move across the river to MO is looking more and more like a good idea. Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
