What has WTU done for the MN Deer herd other than watch it Implode like MDHA and QDMA has done over the last 10 years?

This ^^^^^ But still the QDMA fan boys wash corporates balls and keep sending in their money. And then stick their nose in the air like they are actually doing some good.

I guess I do not see the gloom and doom with the Minnesota deer herd, I mean other than the damn wolves up north and the CWD down south, things are looking good in the Central.

I still own 280 in EC MN unfortunately, and it has a great crop of doe's, fawns and forkhorns. We have not hunted it in 5 years, and still has a great crop of doe's, fawns and forkhorns.

Own some great Missouri property now, where you can have 20 bucks out in a plot at one time. instead of 20 doe's like mn! Lol!

So you contend that Central Minnesota has some genetic fault in the deer herd so the bucks only grow to fork antlers? Also that the herd pretty much only throws does?

280 for lease possibly? Hate to see it just sit and not get used.

Unfortunately you must be doing something wrong if you own 280 acres, haven't hunted it in 5 years, and are only seeing does/fawns/forks.

I contend most of the MN hunters have had their genetic fault exposed by the DNR. Brain washing people with years of intensive harvesting permits, forcing the brown its down side of the brain to take over!

Thank god the MDDI came along exposing the DNR! Lol!

You got that right! I am surrounded by fence sitters that think any deer 5 points or more need to be killed. Idiots are now killing the forks as well I think! Lol!

Not for lease, but it is for sale with a turn key seed, chemical and farming business with it!

I'm surrounded by the same type of people, have 63 acres to hunt, and still have 3+ mature bucks on my property every year.

I think it's expectations vs reality... It's very, very rare that you have 20+ bucks in a field on any given day in any state you hunt. Any private land owner or person who leases 280 acres of land should not expect to see that many deer anywhere.

Minnesota has been a 1 buck state for many years, the brown it's down is mostly does and non antlered bucks with 4" or shorter antlers.

Mo isn't the only one dissatisfied with the quality of hunting in Minnesota. And sota doesn't count because he hunts one spot next to a preserve and typically only has to hunt a few days a year.

Some pissed off Minnesota deer hunters out there.

So how do you train 3 mature bucks to live together on 63 acres with no fence, during the rut, with hunters all around you?

Can't wait to hear this! Lol

Again... Expectation vs reality. I don't expect those bucks to live on my 63 acres, but I know that they are there. I had 3 mature bucks visiting regularly and had 2 of them withing 65 yards.

We are getting away from the point you brought up that Minnesota is a bad place to hunt. Maybe your 280 acres is a bad place to hunt, but I felt like I had a great season last year even though I didn't shoot a mature animal.

What do you suggest we do to fix the issues you brought up?
