Had a great day in the stand on Tuesday and saw almost a dozen doe. A group of 4 feeding at 50+ yds disappeared in the thick stuff...I figured they bedded since it was midafternoon. Soon after, probably 5 or 6 blue jays start chirping, and it gets louder and louder til I realize they're in the tree next to mine probably 15 feet above me. they're flapping their wings jumping from one limb to another and making a huge raucous, apparently directed at me. Later when I had a doe and 2 fawns bedded 35 yds away in thick stuff, two eastern bluebirds did the same thing, even flying directly at me. They were really layin into me, letting me have it. None of the bedded deer ended up coming my way. Are the deer getting warned by the birds? anyone have this happen to them?
Me too! Not sure why the birds are doing that. Seems weird that they would do it toward you. And I don’t think it would affect deer anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
