I don’t typically put out trail cameras until early August when antlers are almost fully developed, but decided to start much earlier this year for various reasons. With that being said, I’m a rookie when it comes to predicting what a velvet buck in early to mid June might become by the end of August. I know all deer are different, but what do you think this deer turns into? To me it almost looks like he’s developing a drop tine on his left side, but like I said I’m a rookie. I’ll try to post any pics I get of him as he continues to grow just to make it fun.

Picture taken in Northern Missouri on June 12th, 2018.

    Disagree!
    That's an old buck!
Over the years I've learned you can't judge yet how they turn out from june pics.

I'd say there's a good chance it ends up as a drop. That side otherwise looks like it could be pretty weak though.

4 or 5 yr old, nice bases, face looks young. Split G-2 , main beam still growing. Look forward to seeing more pictures, good luck with him.
