Didn't see one started yet so figured I would since I'm out today.

    #1 for the year!

Nice getting the first one on the board. I saw roughly 10 bucks still holding both, half dozen with 1 side and about 100 antler less deer, whether they were bucks or does I don't know.

Also saw over 100 pheasants today.

3.5 miles in 1-3' of snow is enough for day 1. I'm beat![IMG]

Nice! They stick out against that snow as long as they fall on top of it and not get covered with it lol

Probably heading out this weekend but still kinda early here in Indiana. Been seeing a lot of half rack bucks. Usually wait until Valentine's Day to start but I got the itch to go! lol

Right! I shed hunt 100% public so if I don't get out there, someone else will! Plus I can't stand being locked in the house in the winter.

I'm guessing I walked right past a couple but it's tough walking off the deer trails!

Does anyone know if there's a shed hunting contest this year?

Went on my first walk today. 1.2 miles and 0 sheds. I won’t be back out for a few weeks.

I always wait until March to shed hunt in NY , I wanted to head out this weekend and stick to the fields as not to disturb anything.

I've only got a couple pics of bucks that have shed at this point in Rochester, NY. Still seeing a lot with both sides still intact.

Shed hunting is my overall #1 favorite outdoor activity so I try to get out as much as possible starting right away in January to beat the public land crowd. Fish are hit and miss yet but I enjoy this more after the new year.

Snow is definitely a PITA in alot of areas yet.

All oldies but a good jump start to the year. 2 sets with one laying side by side. The larger set doesn't look like it at that angle but 99% sure its the same deer. 20200201_081158.jpg 20200201_083146.jpg 20200201_083505.jpg 20200201_083610.jpg 20200201_092436.jpg 20200201_093450.jpg

I like shed hunting but you win. But to be fair I guess anything can be a sex toy if you are creative enough. Kudos

I walked just over 6 miles early mostly because there was no snow but my son was home from school and didn't find any.

Heading to Iowa for 5 days at the beginning of March :)
