Now that most everything is out.... Who has been out shooting the new bows? What's your thoughts?

The Triax shoots nice, but the Hoyt RX 1 was the bow for me. Ordered it in all black, 60#.

They will all sale this year. But I’m my shop it’ll be the Triax or the new bowtech that’ll be number one that’s what I think my customers want

I'd love to try out the new Hoyt, but I doubt the local shop has a LH.

I'd like to have an RX-1 turbo in the buckskin color. I haven't shot one yet but I know I want. I know better than to shoot one or I'll end up buying it on the spot. My old 2013 element is still going strong though, I had new strings put on it last year and a fresh tune. It kills like a homicidal maniac, so it's not like I need a new bow.

If I had plenty of money, I think I'd buy a new flagship bow from Hoyt and Mathews this year. I'm pretty impressed with both. The Mathews would get ordered in the stone grey, I love that color on a bow. I'm not sure why but camo on bows just doesn't "do it" for me anymore, it looks gawdy or something. Especially those damn digitized type patterns, always hated that kind of design. It looks like the Matrix puked on it.

I shoot new bows in the spring and summer, it’s kill season right now. I don’t want to switch my gear over to something brand new and have to get used to it. Like I said right now it’s hunting season. I’m in the woods.

I just bought a used mint condition no cam for $400 bucks, so I will be shooting that for a while. But, as far as this years releases go, I've never been a huge fan a PSE, but I think they have the best lineup of bows this year.

Off topic? I've been shooting with the same string for 4 full years (come next feb). Should I replace it before next season?

It looks good to me still since I wax it often but I've heard it can start to stretch.

Just as smooth, really drew great. Quietest most vibe free bow I have ever shot.

I’m with you on the AlphaMax I love the way mine shoots just replace strings as needed and it’ll keep me from parting with the hard earned cash for at least a couple more years.

Nothing has peaked my interest to this point. We'll see what Prime comes out with, but likely holding onto my Halon and spending the money for a new bow on another western hunt.

I shot the new Hoyts and the new Mathews. I thought for sure I was going to buy the Hoyt RX1 after shooting it, but when the Triax came out, I couldn't resist. I feel like I would have been happy with either bow, but I am glad I waited for the Triax before making an order. On a side note, I've been wanting to shoot the Primes for a while, the closest dealer to me is about an hour away which isn't bad but my Hoyt/Mathews dealer is 2 mins from my house and the guy that runs the shop has been nothing but great to me. With that being the case I think I will always be shooting the Hoyts or Mathews.. maybe someday he will pick up the Prime bows...
