The Chill R definitely has my attention! My boy may like to move out of his Legacy solo cam. Fast, smooth, looks Great!

What is the real world difference in the shorter riser height in the Chill'R and my MR7? More forgiving or less? I know the brace height is shorter on the Chill'R but I owned an M6 and was OK with it. Just wondering why they're going shorter on the risers but making the limbs longer to get the 33'' ATA.

I talked to the shop where I shot the 2013 Creed and they jacked up the prices on their 2013 line to 899 and the new Creed XS and Chill R are also at 899. Decisions decisions. I'm going to go over there on Thursday my day off and shoot them all again and see.

I'm thinking about it. Looking at Hoyt as well. Just swamped at work making teeth. I got Thursday and Friday off so I'm going to go shoot some bows then. We'll let you guys know what I think.

I have never bought the same brand twice. There is not one brand that is the best every single year. That is my opinion.

My best guess would be weight. The longer the riser, the heavier the bow. Trying to keep it under that magic 4.0 lbs.

Totally disappointed. Neither bow came in a flame green, orange, pink, or purple option. I am being sarcastic! Seems like this is the direction they're are going. Just saying... Unlike Mathews, Apples prices often hold the same or even drop even though they often add great new technology in their products.

So based on Justin's comments the bow industry has hit a plateau. You can change that if you don't buy into what the manufacturer offers on a "product refresh". Save your money and stop buying new bows. I am going to throw a new string on what I have now and call it good!

I have killed more deer with my old 1995 Browning Mirage Vision than any other bow. Shoot what you have and spend your money on a new lease or something else.

I only bought new, because I wanted something that had a little zing to it. Kids are older now, so my toys can be more expensive and it doesn't bother me as much. I guess if I would have waited for my next day off which will be the 10th I probably would have ended up with a 2014. No matter what, I got me a new bow and I'm perfectly happy with it.

I still have an old Legacy and this year it will either be a Chill R origninal Creed HeliM or new string for the Legacy.

Anyone shot the 2014 bows yet that isn't sponsored by mathews or getting paid by them?

Just got back from shooting the Creed XS and Chill R. First I shot the Creed, I picked it up had a good weight and feel to it. I put some shots through it and man this bow is nice, it had a smooth draw and a solid back wall. I didn't feel any creep in this bow at all. Then the shot felt great too, it was dead in my hand and it just felt right.

Now the Chill, it felt a little bulky to me but it is 33 ATA and I haven't shot a bow that long before. The draw was a little rough for my liking, I'm guessing this because the shorter brace height and the dual cams. Once I did get it back though the back wall was again solid. On the shot I felt some more vibration compared to the creed but I think that would be gone with a stab on the bow.
(Both bows were set at 60# 28 DL)

Overall both were nice bow but the Creed felt great to me and I'm pretty sure I will be putting order in for one after the season! :tu: I would go out and shoot them and see what you prefer. For me I didn't like the feel of the dual cam and shorter brace height of the Chill R but everyones different. Go check 'em out.
