Check out this photo from a colleague of mine. She heard bleating coming from the backyard only to see this mink dragging this fawn into the water and drowning it. At first we thought fisher but given the size of a fawn's nose compared to the head on the assailant, it has to be a mink. I would have never guessed a mink could do this. If a mink can do this, just imagine the toll bobcats and coyotes really do take.
I'm surprised the doe didn't swim out there and kick some ***. I assume the mink was successful and finished the job?
Damn, that is crazy! I agree with BJE80, surprised the doe didn't come out and after the mink. I have seen a video of a doe kicking the crap out of a dog that got too close.. while the moron owners did nothing but video it. SMH. We used to use a fawn in distress call for shi*ts and giggles and amazing how the doe does everything she can to lead you away from what she perceives as a fawn.
You need to tell him to get that image out and about. Very telling of a fawn's early life. Almost unbelievable, though. You'd think the fawn could get away from it.
Wow. That's a crazy pic! My dad watched a Golden Retriever he was dog sitting get pummeled by a doe yesterday!
My uncle used to own a mink farm. They are mean bast***s but I would never have guessed they would be able to do that.
Are you sure this is a mink? You could very well be right but the head seems too big to be a mink. Of course it's tough to put into perspective in a picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Minks are the biggest jerks in the animal kingdom, if they had thumbs they would be wearing our skins as pelts
Great Photo! I'm sharing this on our Facebook page! Thanks for sharing... and it might be time to start a Mink trapping line.
