Hmmmmmmmm..... something in the back of my mind is warning me..... "The yokes on you". It had to be said. LOL
If you do it without water you have fried eggs without the grease and all the bad that goes with frying eggs. Also while your at it, make a PB and blackberry sandwhich. Taste just like a PB & J without all the sugar from the Jelly.
Oh phoey.... nothing wrong with a couple fried eggs now and then... and they actually taste better. LOL I don't eat them everyday or probably more than once a week.... but when I do I make homefries and the works. The rest of the week it's cereal with a banana or peaches or something. Once in a while I mix it up with milk toast instead of homefries. In fact... I probably do milk toast 3 to 1 over homefries.
Mike, ******Nice Web Site****** Its about time somebody stood up and made their stuff in USA... This out sourcing $**ts gotta go....... If you like a simple poached egg....try it no yoke..... Do you guys make hangers....and climbing sticks? If so....make some noise....got a lock mechanism that works!!!!! The Mother of all inventions...someone steals your $tuff and then "You Build It" They Don't Won't Come All stands are equipt...Big Time!!!! Try to steal my stuff! Keep up the good work! What...Roll Alabama? hmmm...... thought it was the Georgia Bull Dogs...hmmmm Thanks, Brother you do Henry
What are you smoking???? Maybe it's something you're drinking. You covered a lot of stuff in a few short sentences. LOL
OK, so I'll try it tomorrow. A couple questions. Do two eggs in the bowl get the same treatment or do you have to adjust time or water. Can't have just one egg you know.
OK,... so I broke down and tried one egg for a snack with a piece of toast. Egg was over cooked(meaning no yoke to dip the toast in). However, it was tasty and a good snack with some Kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. I probably should have stopped it when I heard the first pop in the microwave. LOL That said... it would be a quick tasty breakfast. Tomorrow I'll try 2 eggs and see what happens. I'll play it by ear as to pops and cracks from the microwave. It sure is an easy clean up compared to a frying pan with butter and all that. Might be the way I do my milk toast from now on as soon as I find time/water/bowl size necessary for some soft yokes.
I poach 2 eggs in the microwave at work almost every morning for breakfast. I use a lot of water and nuke for 3 minutes. They still come out runny.
This mornings menu was attempt number 2. Put in a little bigger bowl with more water and got an uncooked egg back LOL The yoke was runny alright.... but still cold. LOL Next time I'll give it less water, or smaller bowl.... or maybe a frying pan. LOL I will fight on.
Only way for GOOD EGGS is to fry up some bacon or sausage in a pan, then fry the eggs in the bacon or sausage grease, and put 'em on toast with a piece of cheese..... Mmmmmmm....GOOOD!!!
I've been doing this since I was a little kid. My mom was the queen of finding uses for the microwave (not tv dinner uses, poached egg, bacon, etc style uses)
He simply meant that the egg will cook more similar to frying without the water in the bowl instead of being poached if there is water present in the bowl. In other words, you can fry an egg in the microwave and not have to use a pan with grease. No nonsense, just eggs.
