Ha! I was kind of disappointed they didn't get a picture of my hubby in the article but he's over in the 'tool & Die!' section.

Factory of death lol talk about sensationalizing a bull crap topic. The real factory of death is in Detroit and millions of Americans drive their products everyday

"This photo shows the incredible 300 AAC Blackout rounds, used in the M4 carbine, a popular gun of the United States Armed Forces."

Ummm, No that is not correct!!!!!! I just wish they would at least get the basics right here. The M4 Carbine used by the US Armed forces uses 5.56X45 Nato round. The 300 AAC was developed to be used in the M4 Carbine with nothing more than a barrell change, but it's not what the Armed Forces are using to date. Maybe in a few years this statement will be correct, but as of right now it's just plain wrong.

It is good to see that the 300 Blackout is really being produced in such mass quantities since it is such a new cartridge. I do think it's the future of the AR platform.

Barnes does have military contracts for various forms of ammo, including the blackout.

Supposedly, bin Laden was shot with a Barnes varmint grenade bullet. :) (not blackout)

Somebody please photoshop 'Factory of Death' on the side of the building for me. Please? :D

Look, I hate journalistic malpractice (especially firearm related) as much as anyone. But technically, that was all correct.

    - the 300 AAC Blackout round is incredible in certain applications
    - the 300 AAC Blackout is used (most commonly; but amongst others) in the AR/M4 platform- which is not only the popular but the standard issue rifle of the US Armed Forces

Granted, the standard caliber for the M4 platform is 5.56, but doesn't make the article factually incorrect.

I guess my point is that it's not the bullet of choice for the military issued rifles for our ground forces. There are obviously other rounds used for all sorts of different reason, but 5.56 is 1000 to 1 over any other M4 carbines.

Well, unless they're scared off by this recent publicity... all you need to do is call to set up an appointment.

    Biased? What bias?

I do think the author missed a big opportunity to expose the millions of closets, garages, shipping containers, ... of death too.
