For those of you in the deer tick zone, they are out. Get your dogs treated and spray down when you are out in the woods.

I don't think they ever went away. These past few months have been so off for my area.

    Thanks for the friendly reminder!

    Thanks

Permethrin all your gear as well. I even spays down the carpet in my truck and camper. Nothing goes to the woods without being treated with Sawyers Permethrin first.

Yeah I guess I am lucky in anytime I get bit by a deer tick I get a big swollen golfball size infection or reaction so I know every time I get bit. My goal is to make it thru this year with no Dr visits for a tick bite.

Might need to start worrying after the next week. With there still being over 12" of snow cover today I'm not worried but a week of 50 degree days can take care of that pretty quick.

I don't worry about ticks myself. I do treat the clothes I wear into the woods, and usually find a few on me every time once the snow is gone. Just make sure I check myself over, and that the kids are checked if they happen to go with me. Don't take the dog but that would be my biggest concern if I did.
