After reading all the recent threads about the worst and best franchises in sports history I find it very odd that so many guys on here from Minnesota and Wisconsin don't like Hockey or don't pay attention to it. I know the Wild haven't been that good in years past but they are something to watch now, and some of the greatest players of all time came from Wisconsin. I will no doubt watch Hockey over any other sport on TV but, I still know how my Lions, Tigers, and Pistons are doing throughout the year.
Not much Hockey in NE Ohio. We have the Lake Erie Monsters...and they are good from what i understand, but its not followed by many. Especially with the Browns, Cavs and Indians.
I refuse to watch regular season hockey. You could offer me free Wild tickets and a parking pass and I still would not go. Playoff hockey is completely different than the regular season. I will say this hockey is much better watching live and in person than on TV.
Just not interested. There is hockey around. High school and College. Even semi-pro teams. The Badgers usually are good. Its just not entertaining for me. I've tried to get into it and just lost interest very quick
Hockey has changed so much, I played as a kid and it was back in the day where we practiced and played outside. We even shoveled the rink before some games. Now days in Minnesota if you play hockey you are going to camps all summer, indoor rink ice times are crazy young kids practicing at 10-11 at night, and specialized training outside season, it is a huge commitment.
I think Sota hit it on the head. Watching hockey on TV is terrible, similar to watching soccer. It is not entertaining on TV. I've been to a minor league hockey game and it was enjoyable, but it just doesn't translate to TV unless you are a die hard.
Man compared to Baseball and Basketball on TV, Hockey cannot be that bad! I do agree playoffs are much more intense but isn't that the same for any sport? Maybe I'm just spoiled living in Detroit(never thought I would say that) with all of the ice rinks around and having such a great franchise for so long.
I'm a huge hockey fan. On TV I think it's great, and in person it can't be beat! I can see how It is hard to follow the puck, but if you watch it enough and pay attention you don't even have to try to find it your eyes an automatically find it. I grew up playing, and now my son is a junior in high school on the varsity hockey team. Practice schedule is pretty rough, Monday and Wednesday 3 to 5 PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays 5 AM to 630. Games are Friday nights and Saturday nights. High school hockey is very intense, fast and hard hitting. College hockey during the playoffs is insanely physical. I find it more enjoyable than the NHL. Here's a picture of my son, and a picture of them last year when they won state. (Green jersey shooting the puck) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am Canadian. Your lack of enjoyment for hockey confuses me. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I personally think hockey is the best sport to watch on TV or in person. I agree all playoffs in any sport are at a different level. But... man there is nothing like a game 7 in hockey.
I've always said I would have loved to play hockey. Just theres none within miles and miles. Watching it, I try often....I just don't know if I can get it to stick. Maybe I need a team...lol.
Yep Nascar is boring too. No argument there. I do think its boring because of on TV. I agree with that and I have trouble following the puck.
