You have full permission to come to my place and open fire on any coyote or fox you see.

Might head out next week if my buddy can get out for the weekend. Doing sight in and load selection this week as my mount was late on shipping.[IMG]

don't have enough predators to go out and actually see something. although everyone thinks we are overrun with yotes. I just laugh when they say that. it would be fun!

Dropped one about 75 yds in open field edge, out the front door yesterday morning. Used the rifle in the pic to do the job. One shot through both lungs and what ever was in between. He was dead before he hit the ground. This morning I hauled him about 400 yds up in a CRP field for the eagles to feed on. Crack Shot-1.jpg
Pic is a Stevens .22 Crack Shot 26.

I do some. I packed my AR this morning and made a few sets with no luck. I'm not a serious note hunter by any means. For me it's a way to kill time and beat cabin fever between deer season and turkey season.

I would probably get more into it if we could use rifles at night. We are currently limited to shotguns only and can only use lights between February and May.

The cattle farmers here are more than happy to let coyote hunter onto their places though so access isn't a big issue.

Why would I doubt your ability? I only commented because I was in a deer area yesterday and was very surprised at what I saw....several pairs of tracks running together...

I do a little bit but not as much as I'd like. Nothing fancy for me, Savage bolt action .223.

I absolutely suck at predator hunting. I apparently can't shoot for **** when it's a coyote. I have no idea why. Yesterday morning there were 3 coyotes walking across my field/backyard. One of them was not much further than 50 yards. I grabbed my new .300 blk(which was sighted at 50 yards) and slid out the back door. They take off trotting but I get one to slow up and pull the trigger and whiff, nothing. I set up a target later and center punched it. I don't know.....

Now, I film for my brother-in-law at times and he is a coyote slayer. We called in 11 coyotes in one set once. He hunted in a coyote contest this weekend and he and his teammate killed 7 coyotes and won the contest. I guess I'll just stick to filming.

I don't know I've missed way more coyotes than anything else. I don't know what it is but I just plain suck at it.
