The wife wants a vitamix. I know nothing about them other than they cost a ****-ton.

She's wants one she can make smoothies and frozen drinks but also one that can grind/mill grain.

Might anybody know what model would meet those needs or make a recommendation?

    Thanks!

I bought one a while back a few years ago and it would allow me to make smoothies for breakfast and lunch...ultimately I lost over 60lbs doing this and it truly transformed me. Sadly I've not used it in quite awhile now and really need to get back on that bandwagon again.

They do everything they say, things are built like tanks! I will try to look at what model I have.

We have a Vitamix 7500 and have been very happy with it. We use it just about daily.

The gf has one, I believe it's the 7500, and she loves hers. I think the drinks are good I just can't put it in something where I can see it. The green color really gets to me lol

We have the model 7500 and it works great! If you are wanting to grind dry goods (like make flour from oats) you need to make sure you get the container for dry stuff because the blades are different
