OK - So, I have an appreciation for marketing. Good and bad. I love seeing companies react differently to market events. For instance, the whole Under Armour PR situation earlier this year lead me to avoid their brand for hunting items as well as baseball. At the same time, the very quick thinking marketers of Scentblocker made me look at their brand and I am now the owner of both their Apex and Alpha suits...I also had their Matrix but, sent it back. No fault to the brand. I would have looked at Scentlok however, I though their promotion was not fast enough and not as wide open related to discounts. No knock to their brand, just could have marketed faster to get me hooked before SB. I take particular notice when a company is not associated with the outdoors but, targets us sportsman and women. For me, I have not seen an ad campaign targeting hunters as good as Arby's is doing right now. They are running both print and TV ads. I find them creative, on target, and funny. Has it made me go eat some Arby's? Not yet but, I'm not avoiding them and I will eat there when I get hungry and find myself near a location. Why? Well, I like their meat. Second reason, I know they appreciate my sport (at least their marketers think we are important enough to target...that makes me feel special!) Regardless if you eat there or not. You should check out some of the ads. High 5 to the Arby's marketing team. Their TV ads: The woods is just a big salad! Had lunch there today myself. Haven't seen the commercials, just hope they have the fortitude to stand behind them and not cave to the animal rights groups that I am sure have already started their onslaught.
Yup. I'll prob find a way to eat there in the upcoming months for a meal while roadtripping to hunt just because of that commercial.
I've seen them a couple times. I do enjoy them and am happy to see companies start to market to their customers instead of marketing not to offend people that would most likely never buy their product anyways. Good Job Arby's
Just found a story on the Detroit Free press that Arby's is also introducing VENISON on their menu!!! (Limited locations in hunter-friendly areas) Arby's takes a stab at venison sandwiches in select locations
I see that Minnesota is going to have an Arby's venison offered, I will drive there to try one, none of the fufu stuff I want it like a beef and cheddar onion bun and cheese and arby's sauce.
Bet they would be expensive, but still, have to give them credit for sticking their necks out. Rarity these days
Even though I'm close I rarely go into St. Cloud... Too many idiots. I may just have to make a special trip to Fleet Farm and get me some lunch.
You're doing it wrong. Take the back way through my neck of the woods (Foley/Gilman)! Same distance/time... No idiots to deal with.
I like that plan a lot. If you guys want to... Throw around some dates! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
