Some people can not seem to get out their own way at times. They are the ones that are a drag on society from grade school till death.

Yeas I agree Sam I have used your signature line a few times to describe peoples issues. Thing is "those" people never see anything as their fault or a result of their actions. The world goes tick tock there are people who can be best described as tock tickers.

You can see it in the hobby of hunting we all love, a lot easier to put faith in the next gadget that will kill a big buck than that thing called work. The easy way is the new American way.

I ain't that smart, trust me. But the times in my life where I've thrived the most is when I've worked hard and stayed out of trouble. When I got lazy and did stupid stuff, I suffered. So I learned....work hard, stay out of trouble.

100 wooded acres in Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, or anywhere where there are good people who would protect my family and property without blinking any eye is where I want to go.

Maybe I was taught and became enamored with too many movies involving honor, self sacrifice, and protecting the innocent growing up and I am not thinking the same as 90% of the population. I feel a total disconnect as I age. I just scratch my damn head when I hear a lot of people talk. I swear the psychology movement of the 70s and 80s is finally rearing its ugly head in todays society. Everyone blaming everyone else but themselves.

I couldn't agree more Sota! Too many people play the victim in life all the time or they stick their head in the sand like an ostrich and hope things fix itself. Truth is we are responsible for the quality of life we live and provide for our families. My wife says all the time that "the laws of the Universe don't discriminate." If you devise a plan and follow it, success will come!

You have the right idea. Now we just need the rest of the U.S. to see it the same way!

Brett, I bet with your job you see the worst of the worst. The majority of your ever day interactions with people are with people doing something wrong and that's why your there. You don't get to see the people that are doing good things for people. Its same thing that happens to my wife. She works at a local Hospital as a RN and sees all kind of crazy stuff every day and she starts to believe that the rest of the world is like that. I just reminder her to leave it at work. People only go to the hospital if there sick, they don't go there because they are healthy and clear minded. Hard work gives you pride for every thing you get in life. And I'm right there with you on moving out Midwest! Been trying to talk the wife into it for years. But she cant do it yet! Just keep doing what your doing!
