Oh man. I've got a LOT to get accomplished. My main Taj Majal floating blind floated away in a flood, my Jon boat went with it. Just recovered the boat it will need some TLC. Located blind but it's sitting in a huge clump of buck brush. Might have to build new. Early Goose and Teal will be here in 2 shakes of a lambs tail!

Thankfully Minnesota got rid of their intensive August season this year. I can't remember how many years exactly (3 or 4 I believe) it was ran because it doesn't involve my area of the state but those years were the worst September early goose I've ever had. There wasn't any birds around to begin with and the ones that were around were so stale it wasn't worth hunting. My hopes is it goes back to the way it was not having this season.

Picked up my first mount today! Still have my two redheads in the shop. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I also got a great deal on a 14' jon boat, which I will be working on fixing up and repainting for the rest of the summer.

Im pretty much set and ready for the season. Just waiting for the molting stage to be over on the residential birds. Then we can start scouting. Thankfully we have alot of farms that cut corn early for silage.

Anyone seeing any good deals on ammo?

Check out Rogers Sporting goods. That's where I usually get my ammo.

I just replaced the solenoid on my mud motor this week so the boat should be good to go now. I need to adjust the blind some before season. There hasn't been as many ducks down this way the last few years, hopefully it will get cold enough to push a good amount this far south.

My 6 year old woke up this morning getting decoys and his camo ready. He told me he's ready for ducks. Can't wait to hunt with my boy again this year.

I'm with you on that. My 8yr old daughter finally made her mind up to go duck hunting this year. Even my wife wants to go with. That's like, Twilight Zone. I can't wait :)

Lets see. Bought a new boat waiting on the blind to get here. Decoys, decoys and more decoys to get ready. New spots to scout and I'm sure 100 other things along the way. September will be here soon enough.

I'm pretty excited for this year. I got a late start last season so this will be my first full season. I will be heading to MI to hunt with JPT at least once this year and I'll also head to WI for a hunt or two with some buddies. :tu:

Hopefully they will have a blast like my wife and son do. I'll probably just be kicked back calling for them this year.

I have to get our marshes planted, I drained them back in April. I think I'm doing Jap Millet and Milo this year, pretty late for the milo so it may not make but it'll look cool flooded anyway and the millet should make enough food. There's always a good amount of smart weed in there anyway.

I plan to take some pics this year and/or set a trail camera on the marshes.
