TRADE BY NUMBERS Titans receive from Rams: 1st round pick (15 overall) 2nd round pick (43) 2nd round pick (45) 3rd round pick (76) 1st round pick in 2017 3rd round pick in 2017 Rams receive from Titans: 1st round pick (1 overall) 4th round pick (113) 6th round pick (177) HOLY MOSES!
That stinks of desperation on the Rams part. I could see it if Andrew Luck or Cam Newton were sitting there waiting to be drafted, but I don't see the value for Goff or Wentz. (I say that being a huge NDSU fan, I only live 45 minutes from Fargo and have been watching him throughout his short college career). Neither is a day 1 starter and that's what the Rams just traded for.
I honestly could see us trade out of the first day depending how it plays out. May be the smarter move depending whose around.
Think the Rams would learn not to do that after benefitting from the Redskins trade. But nope, they gave up more and these guys would be late first round picks in that draft. I love it, though. Gives the Cowboys more options in the draft, like Ramsey.
If the Rams draft Wentz, the Browns should trade down and get more picks to fill more holes. Wentz is the only QB worth drafting in my opinion, especially after watching the combine/pro days.
Might not be a terrible move for the Rams. Gets somebody under center that they can sell to the new fanbase, and the team is setup fairly well for the QB to not be needed to be a superstar day one. I would be surprised if they threw more than 45% of the time. Ride Gurley for a couple years and play defense while the QB learns. get defenses up stacking the box so the holes in the secondary are bigger when they do pass. Is a lot of picks changing hands though.
Just when the Browns appear to have an opportunity to get a decent QB in the draft, something like this happens. It was Wentz or bust for me, looks like the Browns are losing more than the Rams had to give up in that blockbuster deal.
I hope you're wrong. The Packers don't need more picks (players). They need to trade up and grab a difference maker if they feel he is there.
That is just it, this draft doesn't have any bonafide stud ILB which is our top priority, Jaylon Smith would have been the one but his injury takes that out of contention. Myles Jack is another possible but would be far too expensive to trade up high enough to grab him. Our other spots of concern are a stretch the D type TE longterm (Cook fills this for 1 year)....DL is thin now and could use some pick(s) but with the depth of this position in the draft this year trading back into the 2nd would not hurt any in this position. Our OL is gonna need rebuilding in a big way as all 3 Bakh, Lang and Sitton have contracts up this next year...I think just Bakh is back for sure. OL though isn't a position you have to draft early on....trading back again makes sense. Now don't get me wrong if a stud on TT's board drops to us I want us to grab him...but trading up would be one of the dumbest ideas given that this draft truly most think has 6-10 true impact player no doubters.
The LA Rams are also hosting hard knocks this year. This will certainly boost the ratings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If I had to assess the Packers, it is that they really really suffered last year when they lost Nelson to the knee injury, so I say they could really use a solid TE to add to Rodgers repertoire. I agree Ty, they need an ILB too. Their style of defense is built on a good LB corps. Well now it looks like the Rams are going after Goff rather than Wentz, which would be perfect for my Browns. The Rams can have Goff and his undersized fumble prone hands
Enough of this stinky cheese head talk... The Vikings are going to draft a WR that will bring them to the Super Bowl.
