Your life can be turned upside down and sideways in the blink of an eye. So hug those you love, thank them as often as you can, take pictures to treasure and build more memories every time you are with them.

I lost my Papa last Tuesday. It was the most heart wrenching thing I have had to go through. He was one of the most important men in my life. I spent so much time with him that I have him to thank for just about everything. Thanking him for allowing me not to give up, for pushing me to be the best that I can be, for getting me involved in horses, for being a great example of how a man should treat a lady, for being a mentor, an inspiration, for being the best Papa a little girl could ever imagine. I was wrapped around his pinky since the day that I was born - and 26 years later that was still the case.

This sad event came unexpected. He wasn't supposed to leave us so soon. He was begging us to take him home and promised to get better. He was to take the horses back to his house in the spring - we had horse shows to go to. He had things to still teach me.

One thing you learn - is you never have enough time with those you love.

So treasure every memory - spend any time you get with those you love. Just like that, it's gone - you just never know.

Thank you. It's hard to realize that he is gone.

He had his obituary written out a few years back. It was in a drawer and sealed. Said I was the light of his life - wish I could tell him again how much he was mine.

So glad I spent as much time with him as I could. I just saw him Saturday before his passing. Glad I was able to tell him I loved him that one last time.

Thanks everyone - he was a great man.

Now, I must get something this hunting season as he always joked with me when I told him I didn't get a thing.
