Back on the 12th I had total hip replacement of my left hip. It was a scary deal for me since I have blood clotting issues. I'm happy to say everything went well and yesterday I was able to draw and shoot my first arrow in several weeks. It wasn't a bulls eye but dang close. If this warm weather holds I may try and get out in a ground blind for my annual new years day doe hunt
Thanks. It all about the surgeon. I did a lot of research in advance and traveled quite a distance to have it done.
My dad had a total hip replacement too. Back 8 years ago. He is a new man after it. Praying recovery goes well.
I think about this every time I see an amputee with some of the new prosthetics. I've seen several leg amputees with totally mechanical prosthetics that walk like nothing ever happened, were it not for them not having a pant leg covering a "stick" looking leg, I'd have never known they were missing a leg and foot. I find that completely amazing, reminds me of Luke Skywalkers hand, lol.
My cousin lost one leg just below the knee in a snowmobile accident many years ago. If he is wearing pants and shoes you would never know anything is missing since he gets around so well on his prosthetic.
