I have 26 days until my father and I go to Pocono raceway and get 16 laps each behind the wheel of a stock car. Im not a big Nascar fan, but he really is. He moved near Dover about 18 years ago and heard you can drive a car if you pay the fee. He was never really well off and its not a cheap event, so I knew he probably never would
do it himself. So last Christmas I paid for both of us to do it. He doesn't hunt or fish, we don't have much in common and not a ton of memories, so I am super excited to make a new one with him. And to see his face light up when he got it made it worth double what I paid.

I was wondering, has anyone done one of these experiences? 16 laps doesn't sound like much to someone like me but I am sure in the moment it feels like a lifetime, like being at full draw on a big buck. Just curious if anyone has a review or experience to share.

    I'd say you 2 are going to have the time of your life....... 16 laps @ pocono's 2.5 mile tri-oval = 40 MILES !!!!

keep us updated with pics/vids ?

Doing the nascar experience is definitely on my bucket list. I have very limited experience racing on a short track. would love to get up to speed on one of those big tracks.

I did it down in Daytona a few years back and it's something I'll never forget.

Awesome! That's most important to me. I was hung up on the price for so long. $1000 each for 40 miles didn't make sense to me. But talked to a guy at work that I look up to and he said if its something he loves its an experience he'll never forget. Like I said the look on his face when he got it made it worth every penny. Glad to hear its not a let down.
