Just wondering this morning as I ordered my coffee from a roaster in Oregon. Do you get your coffee off the shelf at the local grocery store; or do you purchase from a roaster? I get mine from Mt. Hood Roasters @ Mt. Hood Roasters
Used to order whole bean Dunkin Donut in 5 # bags. Now I have found Caribou in 2 1/2# @ Sams. I like Caribou much better. Just remember, it's not coffee if it won't float a nickel.
I buy local from Gene Hicks Gourmet Coffee | Low Acid Coffee | Stomach Friendly Coffee I've also ordered from Peace Coffee | Roastery Both are very good.
Cuban cafe shop around the corner or I buy illys in the can for cappuccinos on the weekends. I'll do DD ice coffees sometimes. Never got into drinking coffee that much.
I love how smooth Gene's coffee is. I've been mixing the "Fishing Blend" and the "Sunset Blend" these days. Trying to cut down on the caffeine intake.
My husband is mostly the coffee drinker. I get the house brand at Kroger. He thinks it's fine. It's okay with me too. We both like Tim Horton's though. Sometimes we'll take the girls there for coffee and a donut just for something different. (Milk for the girls of course.)
Costco rainforest blend. That's my cheap stuff. My favorite is 100% kona, not the stuff they sell in bulk as kona. . Also occasionally we will get stumptown. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
methinks this post would be more appropriately posted under the "man card revoked thread" but I'll play along At home I drink Folger's Colombian Silk. Strong and black as Hades, but not bitter. On the road, I try to find Starbucks and get the bold choice of the day. Their standard "Pike's Peak" blend is nasty. I like most DD coffee beans and grinds, but their storefronts are franchised - ZERO quality control. And the Indo-Paks that own all of them around here (married to one, so I can say that) routinely scorch the pots and keep on using them. Disgusting. I'd rather get McDs coffee than roll the dice on getting a fresh clean pot at DD. I also admit that due to my all years in hunting camps, I have developed a taste for Nescafe Taster's Choice Dark French Roast instant coffee. I always keep a few containers of that at home for emergencies or if I just want one cup to take with me as I leave the house. Throw one heaping spoonful in my mug, 90 seconds in the microwave and I'm ready to go.
more than a few, from Istanbul to Bogota... I was just busting your chops for ordering coffee from a "roaster in Oregon." You have to admit that's a little bit hoity-toity.
Nah, I was stationed in Korea with the owner and he enjoyed a good cup of coffee even back then, just couldn't find it in Korea, so he opened his own place when he got out.
