    Hey guys,

Anyone have any advice for me? I am looking at purchasing a 2013-2014 Dual Sport Motorcycle. Mostly looking at the Honda CRF250l but open to others.

    Ill be using it for:

Commuting to work (15 miles 55mph)
    Trail riding
    Commuting to school
    Just for fun rides

Let me know if you have any experience!

    Thanks

I'd think seriously about going with a 400-450. I've had a 250 and it was a little underpowered on up in the MPH.

My buddy has a kawasaki klr650. He's let me ride it a couple times. Nice bike but it has a high stance. He has to tip toe it.

I would say go bigger if you could. The drz400s are nice and around the same price as the Honda. Also the Klr is a nice bike but they are more suited for roads and back roads, your would have to be a pretty big guy to throw a klr around on the trails.

Look into the KLX250s. Light enough for trail work, but geared well (6 speed) for highway use so you're not buzzing at 55mph. Lots of basic mods out there to uncork it a bit from the factory. When I was looking at bikes (before my wife basically expressed her strong opinion on the subject :D ), this was at the top of my list. The DRZ400s is also bomb proof, but a bit outdated and a little heavy.
