Congrats on the bird dude! From the score it looks like it was a hell of a bird! Would love to see pics of the 1.5" spurs and the 12" beard. Sounds like a stud!

I just looked up the NWTF Records and this bird would rank 147 all time in the record books and would be the #10 Eastern ever taken with a bow. Did you enter it?

Any of you guys have any luck i have been out a few times had them gobbleing like crazy just couldnt get them close

 

Steve here. no luck yet, seems they stopped as soon as the saeson started. it has been rather warm lately and early but i am still trying.

 

Season starts here saturday. Well see how it goes, good luck teammates.

blowed completely through gobbler this morning.been after him for a while. shot right below beard nub but instead of going down, he turned and started walking towards the woods. i put a second arrow in his back as he walked off. its still in him. three of us looked for 2 hours this morning, will look again tomorrow, cause i don't think he's gonna do any gobbling anymore! sorry matt, thought #2 was over and done with but guess i'll have to keep on hunting a little while longer. jerry
